I was born on a cold, winter day in a small country in South East Europe where I spent my childhood along with my parents and two older sisters. In 1976, I entered the University located in the capital, from which I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

My first job was with a mining company - a subsidiary of the greatest utility firm in the country. I spent there almost sixteen years performing jobs ranging from entry level engineering positions and up to the highest managerial positions. As I grew as a professional, the company grew too, reaching the top ten list of the most efficient utility companies in Europe.

As a manger, I attempted to answer a not-so-simple question: "What makes an excellent manager?" The search for that answer lead me to my MBA and soon afterward to my doctorate degree.

I married my wife twenty six years ago and with her I have two wonderful sons. Our older one is pursuing his graduate diploma in Microbiology. My younger son graduated last May at age of twenty with very high honors. Their accomplishments make us so proud!

I have been teaching undergraduate and graduate electronics, mathematics, management, and business courses in the United States since 2001. I received the 2007 Teacher of the Semester Award from the College in Tampa, and most importantly, for my teaching I am constantly awarded with an "A" from my students.
