Current Writing:








  • I am presently submitting my novel, Smuggling Peace, to potential publishers.  It is set at the beginning of WWII in Vienna, Austria, and is written for teenagers.






  • I have begun my second novel, a contemporary romance related to Pride and Prejudice.  I am also working on short stories.







Personal Details:






  • I live happily with my husband, our one-year-old daughter, and several houseplants.

  • My interests include reading, camping/hiking, art history, travel, and eating ice cream.

  • Fluent in German.

  • MPhil/PhD  University of Winchester, supported by the University of Southampton;  One year of study completed, study currently suspended indefinitely.  My advisory team consists of Dr. Andrew Melrose, Dr. Amanda Boulter, and Dr. Anna King.  My research will culminate in a young adult novel.

My Awards

I first knew that I was going to be a writer when I was in fifth grade.  I entered a state-wide competition, and won the gold medal for my short story.  While I was in University, I won student writing competitions in short stories and creative non-fiction.
