While studying at Mount St. Mary’s, America’s second oldest Catholic University, I was involved with Phi Alpha Theta (history honors society), the college radio station and newspaper, and was a member of the George Henry Miles and Monsignor Tierney Honor Societies.

High School Teacher
For the past several years, I have served Center Academy, and its students, as a High School Teacher. In addition to writing lesson plans and teaching (World and American History, English, English Literature), I also serve as a male “role-model” counselor for several students, edit the school’s monthly newsletter, write press releases for the school, and am heavily involved in the school’s athletic and fundraising activities. Center Academy is SACS and NIPSA accredited.

Long-Term Substitute High School Teacher
While with the Pinellas County School District, I taught primarily American and World History at most of the high schools in the northern part of the county.
August 2000 – May 2001
New Port Richey Marine Institute
High School History Teacher
While with the New Port Richey Marine Institute, a school for juvenile offenders recently released from Juvenile Detention Centers, I served as the school’s American and World History teacher. I was named “Teacher of the Month” in March 2001.
