My Experience

I have been teaching writing for self-knowledge and insight, memoirs, and biography since 1989. I have developed numerous online courses and have led workshops in special topics in human relations, including how media and the Internet influence our behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes. I have also focused on using creative self-expression (memoirs, autobiography, creative non-fiction) to resolve inner conflicts and deal with traumatic incidents. I have been been in charge of developing and administering programs in marketing, new product marketing and development, online and distance education since 1987.

My Awards

Numerous teaching awards, as well as awards for writing and publishing. I have worked extensively with writers who have written about eating disorders, traumatic experiences, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and who have used their experiences to write memoirs and creative non-fiction.

My Publications

My latest books include "Leadership in the E-Learning Organization." Other recent publications include creative fiction: "Lonelyhearts Pawn Shop" and "Disconsolate Goddess" (March 2006). Other books include "Dealing with Date Rape" and "I Never Did Tell You, Did I? Unsent Letters." My short fiction and creative non-fiction pieces dealing with eating disorders have appeared in numerous places, including the Washington Review, Talisman, Submodern Fiction, Avec, Channel-Surfing the Apocalypse, To the Uzbekistani Soldier Who Would Not Save My Life, Windmill, and others.
