I dropped out of school in 1989, at the age of 16, to pursue a business opportunity and have been "learning hands-on" ever since. I'm no Harvard Business School grad, but when it comes to succeeding in business and marketing successfully on a shoestring, I'll bet you 100-to-1 I can teach them a thing or two...and I have!
My Experience
Recognized in the upcoming edition of the prestigious Marquis Who's Who in America as a world-class marketing consultant and one of the original pioneers of Internet Marketing, I've been "bringing businesses online" since the earliest days of the Internet. As an expert in the field of Guerrilla Marketing -- alternative marketing techniques that rely more on time, energy and imagination than they do money -- I have personally helped hundreds of professionals, entrepreneurs and small businesses find success, online and off.
Presently, I am CEO of Autelitano Media Group, an electronic publishing company specializing in business-information products and services for the small business and entreprenuerial markets. I originally founded the company in 1989 at the age of 16 -- with $1,000 -- and since then it has grown to over $10 million in intellectual properties and assets. From 1989 to 2004, the majority of our business was developing and marketing how-to books, reports and training materials which we printed and sold primarily via offline outlets (mostly direct-mail). In 1996, we began experimenting with electronic products (books and some software, ours and other peoples') which we marketed both online and off. Over the years, the success of these products has grown tremendously and they now make up the bulk of our business (and profits). Because of this, in December 2004, I made the decision to halt all offline printing and production, and the entire business is now, officially 100% ONLINE.
In addition to running AMG, I am the owner (and former publisher/editor-in-chief) of Beachcomber Magazine -- one of South Florida's oldest and largest monthly community magazines. I'm also the president of Upstate Creative Group -- an upstate New York-based graphic design, marketing and fulfillment company. And last year I launched Urguru Systems -- an online company that sells domain names, web hosting, and other website marketing services.
Previously, I also served as Director of Marketing Communications for the nation's largest mortgage bank, and Chief Marketing Officer for a major bottled water company.
