I am a trained and experienced Psychotherapist, Intuitive Teacher,  Reiki Master and Interfaith Minister. I have worked in the mental health and addiction field for over 25 years. Have taught workshops and seminars in addiction and metaphysical studies throughout the years. I have worked in hospitals, schools and private clinics providing counseling in the areas of substance abuse, harm-reduction, HIV/AIDS, eating disorders, stress management and spiritual counseling.I blend my intuitive skills with my professional experience when working with private clients. My Experience

Psychotherapist: Currently working in a MICA program out patient program, offering both individual and group therapy for patient who have both problems with both substance abuse and mental health disorders. 2005 - present: Metropolitan Center for Mental Health 1090 St. Nichalos, NY
Clinical Supervisor: Responsible for supervising and managing a staff of 21. Clinical interventions with HIV and substance abuse population, clinical supervision, hiring and firing, developing treatment plans with case managers, training and orienting clinical staff, discharing clients and all overall management of day to day operations. HIRE - Crotona Park North, Bx, NY 2004-2005

Supervising Counselor: Responsible for assessing and referring probationers to treatment programs. Provided short-term individual and group counseling for probationers who did not met admission criteria. New York City Department of Probation 346 Broadway, NYC May 2002 – present.

Program Coordinator: Developed and organized all components of the MICA Program. Hiring and supervising clinical and support staff. Counseling MICA clients, as well running support and specialty groups. Handled intakes, assessments, crisis interventions and referrals. Puerto Rican Family Institute, Inc, Queens Mental Health Clinic. 97-45 Queens Blvd. April 2001 – May 2002.

Clinical Supervisor/Substance Abuse Counselor: Offered short term counseling for HIV/AIDS clients with substance abuse issues. Ran Recovery groups, HIV support, as well as Wellness, Relaxation and Sobriety workshops. Initiate a Support group for Hispanic/Latino men, which met weekly. Case Manager: Provide assistance to MICA residential clients in obtaining entitlements and housing placement. Made referrals to medical, addiction and psychiatric facilities for treatment. Also provided groups and individual sessions designed to develop better survival skills i.e. cooking, hygiene, safe sex, also focused on housing options, housing readiness and basic ADL skills (Activities for Daily Living). Alcohol Counselor: Responsible for a caseload of 40+ patients. Provided individual and group counseling, assessments, treatment planning and referrals.
