My Education
Jill Diana Chasse is a pregnancy counselor and perinatal development consultant. She has been working in the field of maternal/child wellness since 1990.
She was certified in 1996 for counseling by the International Association for Counselors and Therapists and has since been working with families to prepare for birth and parenthood. Jill focuses on the baby, creating a womb curriculum for the parents to stimulate brain development and bonding before birth. She also teaches infant mental, emotional and cognitive health and development as well as childbirth education, early parenting classes, grief and bereavement support and relationship counseling. She has conducted lectures, led discussions, and published numerous articles on these topics.
Dr. Chasse has a Master's Degree in psychology with a concentration in family and developmental/perinatal psychology.
She has recently completed her doctoral degree in Health Administration for public maternal/child wellness. Additionally, Jill Chasse holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Behavior, and a Master's degree of Public Administration. She has been working in maternal/child health for over 15 years.
As an outreach member of the Association for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health, Dr. Chasse strives to bridge the gap between reseach and policy for healthier and happier families and babies.
Jill has earned certificates in AIDS counseling, advanced clinical hypnotherapy, alternative childbirth education, infant mental health, grief counseling, and multiple Public Health classes from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.

Jill Chasse teaches childbirth education utilizing the relaxation and visualization techniques of Dr.'s Frederick Leboyer (Birth Without Violence) and Grantly Dick-Read (Childbirth Without Fear) as well as hypnotherapy techniques to reduce stress and fear during labor and delivery, alleviating pain and making the birth experience positive and enjoyable. She also teaches early parenting, infant mental, emotional and cognitive health and development classes.
